Love The Little Things #3

The thing I enjoy most about Love The Little Things is the concept. The idea that it is all the little things in life that add up to bring us joy and happy memories. I failed a little last week. I didn’t join in. Last week was pants, and that is all I’m saying about it! It happens sometimes right? But, this week I am picking myself up, dusting myself off, and I’m back to share all those little moments that have made me smile this week!

I read a post by A Mother Far From Home about why us Mums are so tired all the time. I was curious as I do suspect that my general fatigue is not really proportionate to my lifestyle. She drew parallels with a clinical condition called Hyper-Vigilance, and as a former psychology student I found it interesting, and if nothing else, at least I can now use it as an excuse for going to bed shortly after the children!

I don’t often post about my children’s milestones, but I’m making an exception this week. Aaron walked – for more than one step! I would say his coordination skills are really good in general, but he was holding out with this one! I even caught a little on camera!

I heard a little saying this week, which fits in perfectly with this round up:

Enjoy the little things in life… for one day you’ll look back and realise they were the big things!

I like that. I wonder who said it first. Anyone know?

Something different! I was invited to a fancy dress party last weekend – you know the kind where you are not actually sure where anyone will actually dress up or not? So I donned a wig figuring I could take it off if need be. It was Halloween, so I think I managed the scary effect quite well!

And Lastly:

The builders are finished! Hurrah! Well, when I say finished I mean the current stage which is the kitchen. Now I just need to wait for the plaster to dry, get a new kitchen fitted, tile the floor and decorate. In time for Christmas? Perhaps? Perhaps!

Hope you all had a lovely week!

I actually think we have so much video and photo’s these days that it would be impossible to look through it all. Not like my one photo album from birth to 18! How times change!
