Love The Little Things #5

Another manic week in our little household, hopefully the last one for a while. At least the rain has stopped for the most part, for which the ends of my trousers are thankful! I have managed to catch the occasional moment to myself though, so keep reading for all this weeks little loves…

I watched as Mel C saved Stevie on The X Factor! What was that all about? She literally can barely bring herself to watch that man perform, so why did she save him? Hmmm… another reason not to watch this programme – but it probably won’t stop me!

Hurrah, this week my bedtime reading includes a paperback! It’s been a while, the Kindle has been getting good use! I’ve only just started, so no opinion on this one yet!

The only Radio Station I can get in my car is Radio One. And every morning on the school run I listen to some weird quiz with a robotic ‘Showbot’ asking questions. I don’t want to find it funny. I haven’t found it funny up until now, but somehow, it’s kind of growing on me. I think it must be the Showbot’s sarcastic personality drawing me in! It starts about 8.50am if you fancy a listen. Do let me know what you think if you tune in.

It’s been a strange week weather wise. Freezing cold in the evenings, but actually quite mild for the time of year during the day. I have ventured out without my coat and worn fleecy socks at bedtime. I’m just glad not be doing Christmas shopping in New York – I never thought I would be saying that and meaning it! By the way, if you ever get the opportunity to go shopping in New York – go! Go Go Go! I loved it – and I don’t even like shopping in general!

I made a start on my Christmas shopping… well… I started a list of things I need to buy. Usually I pick things up throughout the year, but not this time. Next week, I plan to make a start on actual shopping!

And Lastly:

I’ve been unpacking some of my stored household items. I now know why I have been so disorganised – I didn’t have my chalkboards up to keep me in line. Now, if only I could find my chalk I could put these to use….

How has your week been?

I am with you on the Radio 1 thing! I don’t want to like it and I stopped listening to it for a while but I have been drawn back in and I have to say I now find it hilarious :-/ Did you hear the interview with Jennifer Lawrence? It was really amusing!

    Have a good week

Love the chalkboard. Yay for christmas shopping. We finished ours in Oct for Lil G and just finishing off everyone else. I just love spending every weekend in Dec doing festive things rather than toe to toe in a shop. Enjoy your weekend x

I know the showbot you mean and yes, the sarcasm combined with the funny pronunciations is relatively entertaining! Glad to know I’m not the only one who is only just really getting their head round Christmas too 🙂 X #littleloves

Oops, accidentally pressed publish! Anyway, what I meant to say was that you are super organised with your chalkboards! I think I really need one of these because, honestly, I can’t keep up with what’s going on around here! 🙂 Hope the kitchen is coming together Mel. Have a lovely weekend xxx
