Kites, Currants and Coats #LittleLoves

Will there ever be a week go by that I do not feel compelled to mention the weather? It’s sooo bad! Better to focus on the positives, so here is this week’s #LittleLoves.

Read:

I am a big fan of Emma who blogs at Life at the Little Wood. She is a local lass from Northern Ireland, and her blog is full of beauty, from her family, to her latest fashion buys, to her new build home. In fact, her home is featured in this month’s Ireland’s Homes Interiors and Living magazine. I have been reading this, and drooling…

Watched:

Our television is broken again! It’s less than a year old, so it’s been sent back for the second time. Mr C is not  a happy man! I don’t mind because without a t.v. we have to do other things, like watch kites in the pouring rain! It was still fun, and you can read about our adventures at Downhill Demesne Kite Festival here.

Listened:

To the sound of wind blowing down our chimney! Of course that’s because it is being re-modelled so it is a very good thing! This was not budgeted for at all, but I just could not live with the grey stone that dominated the chimney breast in the living room. Hopefully it will not be too long until I am sharing some pictures with you!

Wore:

Welly boots and raincoats. It’s a Northern Irish summer after all!

Made:

I made some mixed currant jam – you can find the recipe here if you missed it.

And some plans for a little person who will turn two very soon. I hope to share a fabulous easy peasy cheats’s Birthday cake next week, especially for little train lovers!

And Lastly:

I had a lovely day out with my boys this week. we made it to Bangor and I will write up a little post soon! It is well worth a visit if you haven’t been!

I hope you have been having a lovely week, and find time to appreciate the little things, in what can sometimes be, an otherwise crazy life!
