Feeling Hopeful with #LittleLoves

Hope

This week saw the start of another new chapter. One where my eldest child, Lewis, is now in P2, I can see an end to the building work and I’ve been giving more and more thought to the future. The past few years have felt a bit like swimming against the current. It seemed like I had to work awfully hard to make even a small amount of progress.  I’m feeling hopeful about the future though, and here are some of the #LittleLoves I have been enjoying in the present.

Read:

I have started reading a book and I am really enjoying it. I’m not sure why, but these past few months I have been unable to sit down and relax enough to read anything more than blog posts. This week I bought a book on kindle called The House at the End of Hope Street. It’s about a girl who stumbles upon a very special house, just when she thinks all hope is lost and her life is ruined. I’m only half way through but it has my attention so far.

Watched:

Mr C recently has taken out Amazon prime, so we are mixing it up with our Netflix viewing. The best thing we watched so far has to be The Internship. I’m not a huge fan of either of the main actors, but it was a good film. Two middle aged men are trying to  make a success of their lives and apply for an internship with Google. It definitely made me think what a cool place Google would be to work in, and gave me hope that I might work again some day.

We also watched Leap Year, starring Amy Adams. She travels to Ireland to surprise her boyfriend with a proposal, but things don’t exactly go to plan. Yes, there is another man involved. It was a bit silly with many, many Irish stereotypes added in, but mildly humorous non the less.

Listened:

To my boys complaining about the start of the school term. Which actually made me smile as I love that they would prefer to be spending their days arguing with each other. Although I’m not sure how much longer I could have lived with it…

Wore:

Pink Clove sent me some clothes to review, which was lovely, as I am always in need of up-dating my wardrobe. You can read about it and enter the competition to win an item of your choice, by clicking here. (Ends 07/09/15)

Made:

I rather spontaneously decided to make cannelloni this week. It was a nice change, though the recipe I used could have been improved.  The part that confused me the most was exactly how I was supposed to stuff the cannelloni pasta. I’m sure there must be an easier way than the rigmarole I went through?

cannelloniI also wanted to add in here the tower blocks that Aaron has been making. I have been very impressed, I must say.

Tower block

And that pretty much sums up all my Little Loves this week.

I hope you have had a great week?
