Chick Flicks and Cones #LittleLoves

This week’s reading has mostly involved reading the riot act to the kids. I’m not sure why but Lewis finishes school like a bear. It takes a good 30 minutes after picking him up for him to return to normal. After which we have been reading lots of Biff and Chip. And that just about sums up my reading for this week.

It would seem I have been spending my time watching films instead. Which is quite impressive since our television is still broken, and has gone back to the shop for the third time! Actually that is probably why I have been watching so many films. I recommend all of the following if you like a chick flick!Film collage

To Radio One playing Christmas songs on the school run. I love Christmas, but having songs 100 days before, is still too soon!

The kids made some playdoh bricks (which I forgot to photograph)

And I made them cones with the last of the ice-cream from the freezer. I guess that means summer really is over now!

Time for me to start getting the boys back into their winter gear. I was wearing my wellies when I took this photo (a necessity due to the length of the grass) and I discovered a big rip in them! Definitely time for me to go shopping for new ones. I quite fancy a pair on ankle boot wellies, so I’m going to see what I can find.

And there you have my little loves. Things are a bit quiet as we are on the final push with our renovations. The joiner has been in and is working on the doors and skirting. We are getting so close now, I cannot wait for it to be finished!

As usual I am linking up with But Why Mummy Why, and you can find other bloggers Little Loves by clicking on the badge below.

My kids are grumpy when they come home from school too. Hopefully it won’t last too long.
I have nightmares about Biff and Chipper. It’s only a matter of time before P brings them home and I have to endure them for the 4th time! If it’s any consolation there is always a lost pair of glasses somewhere in the illustrations to keep you busy. Have lovley week x

  • Christmas music already???? Noooooo!!! December is fine by me!! Out of school moods really can vary-think the wee bodies get tired… Not that they’d ever admit it though!!!

  • Not A Frumpy Mum says:

September is much too early for Christmas songs!! x

  • Caro says:

Christmas songs, in September? Yeah, definitely too soon for me too! I must admit though that ice cream is a year round thing in this house. Can’t restrict it to just summer!

  • My two have been difficult after school this week too, I think they are tired and still getting used to the routine.
I love HEAT, it’s just so funny isn’t it?
    Have a lovely weekend xx
