Bangor, A Birthday and Bread Fresh of the Griddle! #LittleLoves

Hello hello! It’s Friday again! It’s been a good week, we even had some sunshine! So without further ado here are this week’s #LittleLoves

Read:

This week I want to tell you about one of my favourite blogs. Every ambitious blogger dreams of being in the same league as the two American sisters who blog at A Beautiful Mess. These girls are professional with a capital P and they have made quite the business for themselves. If you like creativity and gorgeous photos, you need to be following this blog.

Watched:

I went along to the Northern Ireland Golf Open, though I didn’t actually watch any of the golf! I did however watch some artisan bakers griddle some fresh tasty delights at the food fair in Galgorm Castle grounds. I bought a cheese and chive potato bread and it was delicious! I might have to try to re-create it someday soon!

Listened:

To some very dodgy singing from my family as we wished Aaron a Happy 2nd Birthday! I can hardly believe he is two! We have been so busy since he came along, there are days I feel like I haven’t had a chance to get to know him yet! Lewis and I spent so much time together when he was young, yet with Aaron my time with him always feels rushed. Perhaps a second child does feel like that? All I know is it feels like just a blink of an eye since he was a tiny baby, and now he has changed into a thriving toddler before my eyes!

Wore:

I have nothing to report but I love these pyjamas I picked up for Aaron in the Mothercare sale! Roaaar!

Made:

I made Aaron a cake for his Birthbday. ¬†Well, made might be a little bit of a stretch, perhaps decorated is a better description. He is in a phase of loving trains, and I was ‘Pinspired’ to make a train and carriages. I used chocolate logs, and mini battenbergs. The wheels are giant m&m’s and then carriages are decorated with coloured sweeties.

And Lastly:

We had some sunshine this week! Real actual sunshine. We enjoyed a day out to Bangor. which was great fun for the kids!

And although the outside of my house is still a bit of a building site, while Aaron napped Lewis and I enjoyed catching some rays! Bliss!

I hope you enjoyed catching up with my #LittleLoves, and I hope you had some of your own! I’d love to hear about them!

  1. Life as we know it

Your cake is brilliant. Happy birthday Aaron! They grow up much too quickly don’t they?
I hope you get some more sunshine this week. It’s tipping it down here and we’re all going a little stir crazy today. I’m firmly convinced that we will have a heatwave once they go back to school x
