Ever since we accidentally stumbled upon Bangor’s Easter Parade, I have been wanting to go back and explore the town further. So I planned a day in Bangor with the kids, as I thought it would be a fun day out. In particular I have heard good things about Pickie Fun Park, so I wanted to test it out!
On arrival we had a walk around the harbour. It really is the most beautiful setting. There are so many little boats bobbing in the water, it really is relaxing just to look out on.
And some of the restaurants look delightful from the outside. I quite fancy the look of this one for a romantic dinner for two!
We actually had lunch in the Red Berry Coffee Company. It appealed because of the great range on the menu, and it did not disappoint! The burger and fries were delicious!
Afterwards it was time to walk along the harbour to Pickie Fun Park. It was everything I hoped for and more! My boys absolutely loved it – and it was a pleasant day weather wise which always helps!
We had a pedal around the lake on giant swans, although there were also disc ducks available!
And we had a go on the Pickie Puffer, which travels the length of the park!
These activities had a charge, as did the crazy golf and bouncy castles.
But there were a selection of activities which were free to use. Like the play park.
And as long as you have come prepared with swimwear or a change of clothes, they have the cutest little changing rooms if you happen to need them!
For a full list of attractions and charges you can check out the Pickie Fun Park Website.
I highly recommend a day in Bangor with the kids. The summer is not over yet, so add this to your list!
That does look a like a good day out with a little one #LoveWhereILive I particularly like the colourful doors and giant swans.
Bright colours always brighten up the day a little I think! Thanks for stopping by!
