I cannot believe the schools are back, and summer is all but over. What I can tell you is that is the first time in a long time, that I feel like I had a summer. I didn’t move house, I didn’t renovate a house, and I mostly just went out and had fun! All thanks to my new tent, which became my second home. The last week of the school holidays I took it to Benone Tourist Complex. It’s not an area I know well, but I was keen to explore.
I am super excited to be sharing with you, our family plans to visit Stendhal Festival this August. My boys are at an age where they seem quite keen on letting me know their opinions and desires, and going camping is very firmly on the list. I am at an age where being entertained, and kicking back with a glass of wine, are very firmly on my list. Mr C, well… he is at an age where he probably wants to try to re-live his youth a little bit. So when Stendhal asked if we wanted to come and experience The Best Small Festival in Ireland, we didn’t take long to reach a conclusion!
Ever since we accidentally stumbled upon Bangor’s Easter Parade, I have been wanting to go back and explore the town further. So I planned a day in Bangor with the kids, as I thought it would be a fun day out. In particular I have heard good things about Pickie Fun Park, so I wanted to test it out!
Do you want some ideas for really cool things to do with the kids this summer? Do you live in Northern Ireland? Are you stuck for ideas for days out or places to go with the family? Get ready to be inspired!
During our stay on the North Coast in April, we saw an advertisement for Damhead Railway. This attraction is only open on certain days throughout the year, and having never been before I thought my two boys would enjoy it.
