A Week at Benone Tourist Complex

I cannot believe the schools are back, and summer is all but over. What I can tell you is that is the first time in a long time, that I feel like I had a summer. I didn’t move house, I didn’t renovate a house, and I mostly just went out and had fun! All thanks to my new tent, which became my second home. The last week of the school holidays I took it to Benone Tourist Complex. It’s not an area I know well, but I was keen to explore.

The Harbour Brewers Fayre Carrickfergus: Review

Brewers Fayre The Harbour

Last weekend we were invited to The Harbour Brewers Fayre in Carrickfergus. The restaurant is trialing what they refer to as Chef’s Counter menu, and they asked if we would review it. The concept is that on week nights, they have all you can eat buffets, with choices such as battered fish fillets, chilli beef, and roast chicken. And on Saturday’s they have an all you can eat Peri Peri Chicken night, for those who like it hot! Of course, all this is in addition to their usual menu.

Rumpelstiltskin, a Living Room Update, and Life as a Working Mum

Hello there. Can you believe it is December? Suddenly all the protests of , “It’s too early for Christmas”, turn into blind panic that there is in fact, not enough time now! I know that is how I feel. A few weeks ago I took on a seasonal job in a retail store, and that has definitely impacted on my ability to achieve anything else. I am enjoying it though. I have never worked in a retail environment before so it has taken me a moment to find my feet, but that is all part of the reason I took the job. That, and the fact that if ever there is a time a cash injection is welcome, it has to be around Christmas.
