Although the school Easter holidays spanned two weeks, I hadn’t intended to take a coinciding blogging break. However, that is what happened, and it was fabulous! The first week passed in a blur as I packed our bags for a little family holiday to the North Coast of Northern Ireland. As there was snow whilst I packed, I had all our waterproofs and wellie boots at the ready! As it turned out I was wishing I packed shorts and sandals!
After school one day last week, I packed up the kids and headed to the North Coast. I haven’t been for months, and I didn’t let the fact that the skies were grey stop us! We had a great time exploring but I wanted to tell you about The Tides Restaurant which sits on the cliff top between Portrush and Portstewart.
As a treat this Mother’s Day my family informed me that we were going for an outing to Portstewart. I love Portstewart. I love the beach, the independent shops and the range of cafes and restaurants to satisfy the fussiest of appetites.
Looking out the window the skies were grey and I decided that to make sure we enjoyed the day preparation was essential.
