Tiles and Tales of Our Week #LittleLoves

red berries

I have a feeling this autumn season is going to be a short one. Already the red berries are out on some bushes, and the leaves have completely deserted many of the trees nearby. Of course, what this actually means is Christmas is going to be here in a flash. Which is great because I do love the festive season, but it does increase the pressure to at least finish painting the inside of our home. Wish me luck with that, because as chief painter, I need it! In the meantime, here is a little round-up of all the things we have been up to recently, with this week’s Little Loves:

Read:

The Quaker Cafe

Hurrah, I have finally finished this book. I have been reading it for months!!! I don’t know why it didn’t hold my attention, I actually thought the story line was quite smart. However, I hope my next choice is somewhat more riveting. If you want to check it out for yourself it is available on Amazon. Here is the link, and it is currently free on kindle unlimited:  The Quaker Café

Watched:

Aaron was kindly given a new scooter to test, and last weekend we headed out to a local park to do just that. It was a really fun day, and Aaron loved his scooter. If you missed it you can read the review here:

Listened:

I have been listening to Q radio in the car, and it’s been all week! Probably the longest I have gone without losing signal on any radio station, since I moved here.

Wore:

This pretty new scarf I picked up in Matalan.

Made:

I can’t take the credit, but Mr C made some minion pumpkins last weekend. He was very proud of himself, so I thought I would share a wee picture of them…

And Lastly:

One thing that has definitely made my Little Loves list this week, is the fact that my tiling has been all finished.

I have tiles in my en-suite, and now I just need to put up a blind and accessories…

And I also have splash back tiles in my kitchen. Now there is something slightly weird about them. Depending on what angle you look at them they look like they are all different sizes, and run in a slope. They actually do not. The are in perfectly straight lines, and all the tiles are the same size. It doesn’t matter, we have to love them, as they are here to stay – well, for at least a few years!

And there goes another week. My quest to finish just one room in my home continues. Any advice would be most welcome.

Have a great week everyone!

I really like your splashback tiles – they fit in well with the other decor too. It sounds like your experience of the book you were reading is a bit like my experience of The Life You Want – its not that I’m not enjoying it, just that it hasn’t gripped me enough to make me want to pick it up when I could be doing something else! Love those little pumpkins – cute! And the scarf is really pretty too. X #littleloves

Love those splash back tiles, really unusual! That scarf is lovely too, I haven’t been to Matalan for ages, forgot what lovely things they do in there!

You just reminded me to put a scooter on my little monsters Christmas list!

    Have a lovely weekend x

Good luck with the painting, we always seem to have half finished rooms and never a completed one in the entire house! Loving the minion pumpkins. My mom has similar tiles and I just stand and look at them, you can’t beat an optical illusion. Have a lovely weekend x
