The Good Wife and The Man Who Has It All #LittleLoves

loose tea

There’s nothing quite like that Friday feeling. That feeling like you can put your feet up with a cup of tea and relax. I remember that feeling from the days before I had children. Do you?

Needless to say, I wouldn’t change a thing, and here are some of my favourite parts of the week just passed, with #LittleLoves

Read:

These tweets. This man is gaining a cult following by giving men the sort of advice mothers receive daily. It makes for amusing reading! Well…. it made me giggle anyway!

man who has it all

Watched:

The Good Wife on Netflix. Mr C and I don’t often watch series together, but I suggested we try one. I think it was a mistake because we are hooked, but the deal is we can only watch them together. So now I’m going to have to watch this episode twice! Ahem…

Listened:

My boys have been enjoying their bed time stories in the ‘new bed’. Novelty really is a great thing for children.

Made:

Tinned tomato soup.. Heinz of course…

And this garlic and leek pasta dish. Find the recipe here. It’s a really low fat version, so ideal for any-one trying to cut back.

Nothing exciting to report here…

And Lastly:

I guess the other exiting news from this week is that I decided to take a job in a retail store. It’s only temporary, probably until the New Year, but I am looking forward to a new challenge. I am feeling very frustrated with the system at the minute. Childcare costs and availability make it very difficult for me to return to kind of positions I have worked in previously. So I’m going to go out for a couple of evenings a week and have an new adventure. I still hope to catch up with you guys on here, but I have been in the house for around 5 years now, and I feel the need to get out! Wish me luck!

Thanks so much for stopping by and reading my wee blog. You guys help me stay sane!

Congratulations on your job, hope it goes well. I totally get the need for a wee something…I’ll have been at home 6 years (!!) come February and feel itchy feet or something!

I think we should have something if we want to. I never saw myself sitting in the house, and my feet are definitely itchy! Time will tell how I like it! Thanks for stopping by. Xx

Congratulations on your new job! I worked retail for many years before childcare costs got out of hand for me. It is rewarding but very fast paced at this time of year.
You can’t beat tinned tom soup can you? This is the only case that I think homemade isn’t better. I had a read through the twitter feed earlier in the week and it is bitingly sharp but very well observed.
Have a great weekend and once again ‘happy new job’ xx
