Longer days and #LittleLoves

January is over, hurrah! Haven’t you noticed the days getting longer? Aren’t your spirits lifting just a little bit? Mine are, and here are some of this weeks Little Loves, which always help!

Read:

The Storyteller, by Jodi Picoult. A modern day story about guilt and forgiveness. This novel was threaded with tales from Nazi Germany, but from the view of a prisoner and on the flipside from an SS man. I guess you could draw parallels with The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. I am always astounded with how Jodi Picoult tackles the big moral questions. Questions that others would fear to ask, yet in fairness, she rarely answers them. She leaves the reader to draw their own conclusions, if such a thing is possible. If you haven’t read any Jodi Picoult you probably have no idea what I’m going on about. If you haven’t read any Jodi Picoult, you are missing out!

Watched:

I haven’t watched a thing! But the programme I am most upset about not watching is Nashville. New seasons have previously been aired at the start of February on More4. Now, I have discovered that TG4 is already showing Nashville Season 3 throughout Ireland. I have this channel, but the first 4 episodes have aired and it isn’t on until 11.30pm – that would mean I wouldn’t get to bed until well after midnight! Shock horror! They have an online catch-up service, but I can’t get it to work – possibly due to being on a UK server.  Do I try to catch up on YouTube as I have discovered they are on there – is that even legal? Or do I wait and hope More4 show the new series, and at the usual time of 10pm? Does anyone have any contacts with More4 that can put me out of my misery?!  Email me 🙂

(I realise this may not exactly fit the theme, but I Love Nashville, so go with it!)

Heard:

Apparently my local radio station, Cool FM, is 25 years old. To celebrate they having been playing some of the tunes they reckon ‘they made famous’. The other day they played Jessie, by Joshua Kadison. I loved that song as a teenager! Jessie just wants to run away from it all and live out her big dreams. Now, why would that appeal to a teenager? Hmmm…

Wore:

I dread this section, and I always forget that I can totally abuse my kids for it. So here we have Aaron, sporting a lovely jumper we bought last week in the Primark sale for only £3! (Drool not included.)  I’m not sure how I manage to put him in a jumper that says #STREET yet he still manages to looks like a farmer! I don’t care. He’s my wee cutie!

Made:

…the beds. Emmm… breakfast, lunch and dinner. Emmm…. okay, so I haven’t really made very much. Apart from a cool collage of my gorgeous boy (see above).

And Lastly:

I discovered that my camera can do this:

Yellow colour digger

I am easily pleased, I know! Admittedly it could get a bit tedious if I started using the colour selector on all my photos, but sometimes, it just might work!

I’ve not read a Jodi Picoult book in a while, not since I tried to read one I just couldn’t get into and it put me off. This looks a good one though.
I am loving the lighter nights, it’s so nice to drive home whilst it is still light. Roll on Spring! xx

That surprises, because I usually stick with really easy going reads, and I think Jodi Picoult just draws me in. Everyone is different though – thankfully!

Haha my eldest Riley always gets roped in for the ‘wore’ shots. He’s that used to it now that every morning when i get him dressed, he grabs my big camera and asks to have his photo taken! LOVE Aaron’s jumper, he looks super cool! Colour selector is such a good tool! Our camera’s are capable of so many things, i’m yet to understand how to use mine properly, but good luck exploring all the features! xxx #LittleLoves

I know, we buy all these super fancy gadgets and then don’t figure them out properly. Seems like a silly thing to do, but I haven’t figured out my phone, tv, camera…..

My old camera could do that, I’m disappointed my new one doesn’t, I got some cracking photos with that effect and I have no idea how to edit myself to achieve this! Aaron is sooo cute, the drool finishes his outfit perfectly 🙂 xx Happy Friday xx
