Life Lately: Lazy Days and Longing for Sunshine

boys watching tv

Hello, hello. I know I haven’t been around much lately, but who wouldn’t take the month of January off if they could!  I have been in hibernation. I haven’t done anything to progress the house decorating. I have barely set foot outside the door unless I had to, and I have generally been a lazy bones! To be perfectly honest, the end of last year was so crazy I think I was entitled to slow the pace a little.

The boys have joined me, and the television licence is definitely worth the money in this weather. And lego. I have played rather a lot of lego!

I have decided that this year is going to be fabulous, just as soon as I get off the sofa! I got a little carried away with all the baking in my new kitchen last year, so this year I am going to concentrate more on cooking up some healthier meals.

I have also agreed to stay on in the retail position I acquired for the Christmas season. I must admit I like having a little pocket money to call my own. It means I plan a few wee extra treats for the family throughout the coming year. We are planning our summer holidays to visit family in England, and hopefully a little visit to Thomas Land for the boys. It’s hard to imagine long summer days, but I have faith they are just around the corner!

I’m sorry I haven’t got much in the way of photo’s to share with you. Please let me know if you have any advice on a simple camera which would be good for catching action shots of my boys? Ninety nine percent of my children’s photos are blurry, and I would love to improve on that figure! And my house is a bit messy, due to all the laziness, so I haven’t been taking any pictures of that!

Now that January is gone I hope to be keeping you all up-dated much more regularly.

As always, thank you for supporting my little blog.

Catch y’all soon!

Mel
