Hi. My name is Mel. After moving to Scotland at the age of eighteen, twelve years later I had got married (to Mr C), had two gorgeous boys (Lewis and Aaron) and decided that I wanted to raise them in my home country of Northern Ireland – plus I had no babysitters in Scotland.
Excited to be home I want to embrace all the country has to offer. Memories of delicious foods and exciting days out fuel my nostalgia and I want my new family to experience them all.
Thus, I decided to start this blog to remind relocated Northern Irish people what they are missing, and tempt those who have not ventured to our shores.
Along the way I will let you have a little insight into our family, the things we get up to and the lifestyle we lead. I may also have the occasional ramble about… well anything!
I hope you enjoy reading this blog and try out some of the local dishes. Please comment if you do, I would love to hear your thoughts.
If you want a little more detail why not read my Blog Your Heart Out post!
