Sausages on BBQ

What makes a really great Northern Irish BBQ? Sheltering from the rain? Yes, of course that can be part of the fun, but that’s not what I meant. What I mean, is how better to enjoy spending quality time with your family than by getting outdoors and eating al fresco, while taking advantage of all the great local produce we have available. Also, as it is the Northern Ireland year of food and drink, we should make as much effort as possible to support and showcase local business.

As I sit here typing this with the rain bouncing off the windows, I just cannot reconcil it with the thought that this could be summer. I’m sure when I was a child, summers were sunny!
