Feeling Hopeful with #LittleLoves

Hope

This week saw the start of another new chapter. One where my eldest child, Lewis, is now in P2, I can see an end to the building work and I’ve been giving more and more thought to the future. The past few years have felt a bit like swimming against the current. It seemed like I had to work awfully hard to make even a small amount of progress.  I’m feeling hopeful about the future though, and here are some of the #LittleLoves I have been enjoying in the present.

How I Spent my Summer 2015

Last year I wrote a post called  How I Spent my  Summer, and I thought I would do the same this year. Although in honesty, this year has felt much more like an exercise in finding signs that summer had even begun. There are few things quite as depressing as looking at the weather forecast and it says; Belfast 14; London 24. That is 10 whole very important degrees of difference. And it’s not as if London is that far away.

Pink Clove Review and Competition

Pink Clove Review

When I was asked if I would like to do a Pink Clove review, I have to admit I wasn’t sure. Pink Clove are a plus size clothing company, and if you are a regular reader of my blog you will know that I am no fashion blogger. I am however a woman, and I do like adding to my wardrobe so I had a look at their website. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if their clothes would fit me – I’m sure everyone has experienced the vast sizing differences in clothing from different retailers. Luckily Pink Clove have a size guide on their website. A few measurements later I discovered that I was perfect for their size 16 clothes. So I decided to go ahead.

3 Simple Summer Watermelon Drinks Recipes

Watermelon drinks recipe

I love watermelons. Their gentle sweetness and slight crunch make them the perfect snack for a hot summer day. They are however quite huge, and I wanted to try something different, so I decided to create some watermelon drinks recipes, based on whatever ingredients I had at home.

I came up with 3 different drinks, and each one was delicious!  For each drink I had already de-seeded the watermelon, and removed the fruit from the skin. Here they are:
